If it were me I would hit the rivers as opposed to lakes that are fished fairly hard, the ones you can "get to and have water in them anyway". I also would go to local bait and tackle shop to "chat" about fish'n hoes with owner and fellas hanging around, like flies around pile of two day old scallop shells and the associated goo". Getting a good chart or map is a good idea. If you can swing it a local guide can really help, not just by taking you but also by spending the day talking about local fishing. , you might also post in the Pasco/Hernando section of this board, they seem to get more "reads". Well at least the Pasco section does, (the last post for Hernando was around Feb 16). Of course that is just my thoughts and I been told there as shallow as the Bayport grass flats a low tide:-) O.A.B.
