Yes they are..we hauled in a 22" 5 lb triple about a year ago..he was under a deck brush floating 20 miles out at sea...

whew....long day of fishin. finally got my trout limit, and 1 24" cobia...not to mention, my uncle and i were visited 3 times by FWC. that is 5 times this month alone! gatta love labor day weekend!
